How old is the competition?
The competition Miss Teen World International is actually 10 years old, though this is the first time it is ever having an English delegate, so the girl who is crowned at this years final will always be able to boast that they were the first ever Miss Teen World International UK!
Are the events held in a different place each year?
At the moment the pageant has only been held in the Bahamas, but hopefully now that the competition is expanding, we may one day host the Grand Final here in the UK.
How many women compete in Missteenworld?
We have a selected 50 finalists, and then we have a group of girls on stand by ready to take the place of any girl who cannot make it for various reasons.
How many women compete in Miss Intercontinental?
After all the UK heats and then the UK finals are complete, then 70 delegates participate in the international competition.
Are delegates allowed to have cosmetic surgery?
We usually appreciate the own natural beauty of each delegate. However there are no restrictions on cosmetic surgeries. The modern time makes it impossible to enforce such a law or rule.
How do the delegates get to the international competition?
That is part of the UK winner's prize, we pay all expenses to South America
Accomodation fully inclusive
all meals, beverages etc.
How is the winner chosen?
All delegates are judged in three areas of preliminary competition:
- Interview
- Swimsuit Competition
- Evening Gown Competition
The scores of the swimsuit and evening gown competition are entered into a computer. The delegate with the highest score is the winner. The following ones are the runner ups.
What prizes do the winners receive?
Fully paid trip to world finals South America and $20,000 if won
What happens to the winners after they are named?
She comes under contract and is managed for 12 months by Static Management London
When are the competitions held?
This years competition will be held on the 7th March 2008 in the world famous Adelphi hotel in Liverpool. The training evening is being held on Friday the 6th March in the Adelphi hotel at the extra cost of £45.
Who is broadcasting the competition?
We are always negotiating with the TV Channel in each country. They will receive the right to broadcast the event either Live or Taped.
